I Am Shaving My Head to Earn Your Donations for Breast Cancer

Subject: Join Us for a Special Evening to Support Breast Health Hi everyone, I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing to share something close to my heart—our upcoming fundraising event for the Ottawa General Hospital Breast Health Centre. This center is in urgent need of a biopsy chair, which plays a vital role in detecting cancer cells safely and comfortably. The chair costs around $10,000, and we're determined to raise the full amount. To make this happen, myself (Giuseppe, on the left in the photo below), along with some amazing friends, will be taking a bold step by shaving our heads at the event. It’s our way of showing solidarity and commitment to this important cause. We’re hosting a St. Valentino Dinner Dance that promises to be an unforgettable evening filled with laughter, delicious food, and great music. It’s happening on Saturday, February 13th, 2016, starting at 6 PM at St. Anthony’s Banquet Hall, located at 523 St. Anthony St., Ottawa. The event is hosted by the Sons of Carpineto Romano, and tickets are $65 each. Mark your calendars, gather your loved ones, and join us for a fantastic night while supporting a wonderful cause. Here’s all the info you need: **When:** Saturday, February 13th, 2016 – 6 PM until the dance floor can't handle any more steps! **Where:** St. Anthony’s Banquet Hall, 523 St. Anthony St., Ottawa **Cost:** $65 per person **Hosts:** The Sons of Carpineto Romano Special thanks to Enzo, Frank, Ken, and yours truly (Giuseppe) for participating in the head-shaving challenge. It’s going to be an emotional moment for sure, but one we’re excited to share with all of you. If you can’t attend the event but still want to contribute, you can sponsor us online. Just visit our sponsorship page, select a team member’s name, and click the "Donate Now" button. Your generosity makes a huge difference! As members of the Sons of Carpineto Romano, we’re proud to trace our roots back to the charming town of Carpineto Romano in Italy during the 1950s. Whether we or our families immigrated to Canada, we’ve come a long way and feel deeply connected to giving back to our communities. Over the years, we’ve raised over $11,000 for various causes in Ottawa. Breast cancer remains a formidable challenge, affecting thousands of women annually. Early detection through tools like the biopsy chair is absolutely critical for improving survival rates. That’s why we’re passionate about raising funds for this essential equipment. So, please consider joining us either in person or by sponsoring us online. Every dollar counts, and together, we can make a real impact. If you’d like to buy tickets or learn more, just let me know, and I’ll be happy to assist. Thank you all for your support—it means the world to us. Warm regards, Giuseppe P.S. For those who know me, yes, I’ll definitely need a new hat this winter once my hair is gone. But knowing that my sacrifice could help countless women stay healthy? Well, that’s worth every follicle I lose!
