How to Package Baby Skincare Gifts – The Packaging Doctor

By Carl Board • Monday 24th October 2016

At Kite, we're here to support everyone from startups to established businesses. This week, one of our customers reached out with an urgent need for packaging solutions as she prepares to launch her new baby skincare line. She’s looking for practical yet stylish packaging for individual products and a way to ship them safely once the initial launch gains traction.

Here's what she shared:

Dear Doctor,

I’m getting ready to introduce my very own baby skincare collection and I need some smart packaging ideas tailored for these specific items:

- Baby Gift Set: Box size 20 x 14 x 7cm

- 200ml bottles: Size 17 x 6cm

- 50ml spray: Size 11 x 3.5cm

- Baby Hooded Towel: Size 18 x 13 x 4cm

Down the road, if everything goes well, I’ll also need packaging suitable for shipping via couriers—something protective but also budget-friendly.

Could you assist?

Thank you!

Alba

Hi Alba,

We’ve got some fantastic recommendations for you! For the Baby Gift Set, consider our White Postal Boxes (240 x 240 x 80mm) or the slightly larger ones (222 x 150 x 88mm) for both the Hooded Towel and the 200ml bottle. These boxes not only look great but also provide solid protection during transit. To enhance the unboxing experience, you might want to include some colorful tissue paper inside the box to make it extra special.

Moving on to the 50ml spray, we recommend our Arofol Envelopes (Size 3, 15 x 21.5cm). These come with bubble lining to keep your products safe while being shipped. They’re also lightweight and feature a peel-and-seal closure for convenience, plus they’re fully recyclable.

As for distribution via courier, we suggest trying our Grey Airshock Mailers. These mailers are designed with built-in air pouches that inflate for added cushioning, ensuring your items arrive intact without adding too much weight to the package. The exterior is discreetly gray, keeping the contents hidden from view, and the peel-and-seal closure makes packing hassle-free.

Our team has already sent over samples for you to try out, and we’ll follow up soon to go over any additional details you might need. Let us know how it works out!

Wishing you all the success with your launch,

The Packaging Doctor
