UPM Raflatac's introduction of RP75 Adhesive is a new type of adhesive that is mainly used in blown semi-extrusion hard polypropylene bottles and is currently sold in the United States. Manufacturers of blown bottles have tested the adhesive and said that the adhesive is applied to the now blown bottle to provide a smooth label with no bubbling and splashing problems.
After using the RP75, the plastic bottle manufacturer Silgan Plastics found that the problem of bubbling and gelling after using this adhesive was zero, and that such problems would have accounted for 8% of the failure of polypropylene bottle production.
