Use of chiller

Chiller Application:

1. Chillers are widely used in the plastic processing industry for cooling molds, significantly improving the surface finish of plastic products. They help reduce surface defects and internal stresses, preventing shrinkage or deformation. This makes it easier to demold the products and accelerates the shaping process, ultimately boosting the production efficiency of plastic molding machines.

2. In CNC machine tools, coordinate boring machines, grinders, machining centers, and other precision equipment, chillers are employed to cool the spindle lubrication systems and hydraulic transmission media. By accurately controlling oil temperature, they effectively minimize thermal deformation, enhancing machining accuracy and prolonging the life of mechanical components.

3. Chillers also find applications in specialized industries such as pharmaceuticals and the chemical sector, where precise temperature control is essential for maintaining product quality and process stability.

4. In the food industry, chillers are used for rapid cooling after heating, meeting the requirements for canning and bottling. For example, zero-degree ice water machines are commonly used in seafood processing to maintain freshness and quality.

5. In the extrusion and pumping industries, chillers play a crucial role. The evaporator should be a shell-and-tube type rather than a coil type to prevent overflow issues. Coil-type chillers have open water tanks that can cause water to flow back when the system stops, leading to overflows. Shell-and-tube chillers, on the other hand, operate in a closed circuit, ensuring safe and stable operation.

6. In the electronics and ultrasonic cleaning industries, chillers are used to cool the molecular structures within production lines. This helps improve the yield of electronic components and reduces the temperature of cleaning agents, preventing evaporation and improving overall efficiency.

7. In vacuum ion plating processes, chillers are essential for cooling the ionization source. During initial operation, the ion source needs to be heated, but during normal operation, it must be cooled. A high-pressure water pump is required to circulate cooling water through the channels in the ionization source, preventing damage due to overheating.

8. In electroplating, chillers are used to cool the plating solution, stabilizing metal and non-metal molecules. This allows for a more even deposition of metal on the parts, increasing density and smoothness, shortening plating cycles, and improving overall quality. There are two main cooling methods: direct and indirect. Direct cooling involves passing the plating solution through an evaporator, which requires anti-corrosion treatment. Indirect cooling uses titanium tubes or heat exchangers to avoid direct contact with the solution, reducing maintenance and scaling issues.

9. In the food and beverage industry, chillers are essential for maintaining proper temperatures during fermentation, ensuring consistent product quality. They are also used in the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors for temperature-sensitive processes. Refrigeration equipment is vital in vacuum coating and other industrial applications.

10. In grinding operations, especially in three-roll mills, excessive heat generated from molecular changes can affect material quality and equipment performance. Using a chiller for circulation cooling helps regulate temperature, improving production efficiency and reducing wear on machinery. It also enhances workplace safety by minimizing heat-related risks.
