Yesterday, the IOC assessment team entered the fifth day of the tour of Beijing’s joint Zhangjiakou bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics. The Beijing Winter Olympics Committee held the closing ceremony of the presentation meeting and held a press conference with the assessment team in the afternoon. At this point, the assessment mission in China has all ended.
According to the Beijing Winter Olympics official website, at the closing ceremony, 20 primary school students sang a song called "Wish", which is a song dedicated to Shen Dongao to express Shen Dong's wish. The Beijing Winter Olympics Committee gave the music score of this song to the IOC assessment team as a gift.
During the five-day study, the assessment team heard a total of 14 content presentations and field trips to the competition and non-competition venues in Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou. More than 150 questions from the assessment team were answered. After the expedition, the IOC will complete the evaluation report in conjunction with the bid application submitted by the bidding city. The evaluation report will be announced on the official website of the International Olympic Committee in early June.
Yesterday afternoon, the assessment team and the Beijing Winter Olympics Committee held a press conference. The assessment team chairman Zhukov took an inventory of the inspection. He said: "I can't predict the results of the voting in July, but I want to say that the Olympic spirit that the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games will show to the world still exists. This Olympic spirit will continue to pass on. The assessment of the assessment team confirmed that Beijing has the ability to successfully host the 2022 Winter Olympics."
