Books and periodicals should first meet the requirements of manuscripts and commissioned printing, and the content of printed graphics does not affect reading; secondly, the quality requirements of books and periodicals with different printing methods are different.
1. Letterpress Books
Pressure, ink color. The cover, illustration ink color is uniform and the hue is correct. The standard deviation of the same color solid density less than 0.03 is calculated based on the average density of the color in the sample, and the standard color difference of the same batch is less than equal 4.00NBS is calculated based on the average value of the color in the sample.
The pressure of the printed area of ​​the text is uniform in ink color. Based on No. 5 Song typeface, the density of fine products is 0.03, and the density of general products is 0.05. In classical Chinese, the characters or the same strokes shall prevail, and the characters with the same density data. For other fonts, the allowable value of word-level density must also comply with the relevant standards.
The whole book is neat, the graphic imprint is clear and complete, the title word is not spent, the handwriting is clear, the chart line is smooth, and the allowable error of the frame line handover is less than or equal to 0.05mm. There should be no more than two missing and missing points on each printed sheet. No. 6 and less than No. 6 should not be misspelled. For the uniformity of printed writing, the fine product is required to be 15/16, and the general crystal production requirement is greater than 14/16. For the uneven format, the word density should be between 0.20-0.40.
Second, the binding quality
Binding is the final process of book printing, and it is also a very important process. The quality of the binding quality is directly related to the quality and appearance of the book. Common book binding methods are divided into wireless binding, wire binding and wire binding. According to the quality and appearance, they are divided into hardcover, paperback and saddle stitching.
1. Folding
The folded signatures have no reverse pages, upside down pages, double sheets, sets, white editions, and corners. The order of page numbers and layout of books is correct, and the center point of the page numbers shall prevail. The position error of the page number between the two connected pages shall not be greater than 4.0mm. The position error of the page number of the whole book shall not be greater than 7.0mm. The error of the page connection error shall not be greater than 1.5mm. The black fold labels in the outer creases of the book stickers should be centered and consistent, and all of them should be exposed at the outer creases of the last fold of the book stickers. For book stickers and scattered pages, the adhesion position of the chart should be accurate, and the horizontal picture should be glued to the top, without leakage, joint adhesion, and firm and smooth. The folded stickers should keep the pages neat, clean and flat. (Remarks: In the process of folding, if there is no peritoneum but the paper is thick, the folding will occur, and the thinner paper will be better.)
2. Collation
There should be no wrong postings, no series postings, no more postings, no less postings, etc.
3. Book blocks
The saddle stitched signatures should be neat, the staples should be evenly and correctly nailed to the crease, and the nails should be flat and compact. The position of the book is outside the nail saw, the distance between the nail eye and the book block length is 1/4 of the upper and lower name, the error is less than 3.0mm, the book book has no bad nails, missing nails, the book uniform is neat and clean, the nail feet are flat and firm. The nail saws are nailed on the crease line, and the skew of the book stickers is less than 2.0mm. Adhesives for binding have appropriate viscosity, and plant-based adhesives are prohibited. The depth of the saw blade is 2.0mm-3.0mm, and the width of the saw blade is 1.5-2.5mm. The adhesive can penetrate into the innermost page of the book to make it stick firmly. The book block thickness after binding should be basically the same, and the back of the book should be straight. The thread lock should be free of thread breakage and wireless ferrules. After the thread is locked, the needle position and needle pitch must conform to the book format and process requirements. The needle eye and thread position are not skewed, and the thread lock is tight and consistent.
4. Baoben
The titles of book blocks and book covers are unified.
The adhesive used must be adjusted according to the paper of the cover and the thickness of the book block to ensure the adhesion of the book block and the cover. The spine shall prevail, the pulp mouth shall not be greater than 7.0mm, the cover and the book shall be consistent, tightly wrapped, No double cover, the upper and lower error is not greater than 3.0mm. After the book cover is wrapped, the word should be correct, the frame should be straight, accurate, the back should be tight, up and down, no loose cover, no wrinkle behind the hot.
5. Finished products
(1) At least book book
At least bookbinding is suitable for books that are not too thick, and is widely used for bookbinding.
a. The center position of the book page is accurate, the frame is centered, the pages are free of oil and dirt, dead folds, white pages, small pages, residual pages, tears, and corners.
b. The order of the page numbers and layout of the book stickers is correct. The line codes of the connected book posts are neat. The position of the page numbers of the two pages of the connected unfolding surface should be symmetrical. The version error should not be greater than 1.5mm.
c. The flat clothing with nail feet is firm, and the skew error of the finished product is not more than 1.5mm.
(2) Paperback
Paperback is the most widely used, and most books are in paperback.
a. The cover is firmly attached to the book block, and the spine is straight, free of bubbles and wrinkles.
b. The sticking error is according to the aforementioned standard.
c. The allowable error of finished product cutting skew is less than 1.5mm
d. Finished cover shrinkage page, exposed color, exposed white allowable error is less than or equal to 1.0mm
e. After the finished product is cut, there is no serious knife flower, no continuous knife page, and the cover break does not exceed 2.0mm
f. The spine word translation error is subject to the spine centerline. If the spine thickness is 10mm or less, the spine word translation error is not more than 1.0mm; the spine thickness is 10-20mm, the spine word translation error is not more than 2.0mm; If the thickness is 20-30mm, the translation error of the spine characters is not greater than 2.5mm; if the thickness of the spine is greater than 30mm, the translation error of the spine characters is not more than 3.0mm. The error of the spine word skew is smaller than the translation error by 0.5mm.
g. The size error of the upper and lower cutting of the finished protective cover is as required. The tolerance of the folding edge of the protective cover or cover to the spine size is less than or equal to 1.0mm.
h. The spine of the finished product is straight, and the wire is not more than 1.0mm. No sticky cover, no corners.
i. The finished product is neat and clean without dirt.
j. The printing of international standard book numbers on the cover of books and periodicals is in accordance with the requirements.
(3) Hardcover
The hardcover is durable, wear-resistant, and will not damage the books for a long time. It is mainly used for books that need to be stored for a long time or used for a long time, such as classic books, dictionaries, manuals, etc., with many processes and slow production speed.
a. The book case and the book block cover are glued to each other. When lying flat, the middle-diameter cardboard of the book case and the book block ridge ignore the gap, and the phase error of the width of the three-side float is positive and negative 1.0mm.
b. The square back spine is straight, and the round back spine is between 90-130 round. The spine is straight and its height is consistent with the surface of the book shell.
c. The book slot looks straight, wide and narrow, with consistent depth.
d. The gauze, the inner seal and the inner surface of the book case are firmly connected, flat and free of cavitation. Adhesive, used properly, evenly glued, without overflowing.
e. The book case disregards the warpage, and the spine disregards the view.
f. Book case hot stamping, protective cover film according to standard quality requirements.
g. The spine characters of the finished product are centered and do not exceed the spine surface. The skew of the cover and the spine characters and cover pattern is allowed to be less than 3.5%.
