Flat glass decoration printing process

All screen printing ceramic binders contain a binder resin that must be oxidized before the pigments are melted when the printed material is baked. Otherwise, the binder will burn the remaining carbon with the pigment. React to dilute the color of the pigment and reduce its gloss.

The kiln must maintain an oxidizing atmosphere, especially when the printed product is in the baking temperature range of 300-450°C. If a continuous kiln is used, the kiln can be ventilated through the chimney to ensure that the entire baking temperature zone maintains a perfect oxidizing atmosphere. The intermittent kiln can maintain the oxidizing atmosphere in the kiln through ventilation at the door and top vents.

Electric heating kiln is unanimously optimistic, because its heat source will not cause pollution to the air in the kiln. With gas kilns or oil kilns, glass products are surrounded by contaminated air when baked.

The baking time depends on the type of kiln and the quality, size and shape of the kiln. Generally, the temperature rise from the room temperature to the maximum baking temperature of at least 1 hour is required to ensure that the resin in the ink binder is completely burned before the pigment is melted. However, if there are enough vent holes in the kiln, the warm-up time can be shortened. Baking at the highest temperature for about 10 minutes will facilitate the full appearance of the pattern color and brightness. The cooling rate depends on the thermal stability requirements of the glass products being fired.
