Tri-Tronics Introduces New UV Seal Inspection System

Tri-Tronics, Fla., of Florida, USA, has introduced a new UV seal inspection system that can be used to detect the effectiveness of transparent or opaque preservative seals added during packaging. The SMARTEYE STEALTH type UV detection sensor incorporates an ultraviolet solid state light source that activates the luminescent material so that the latter can be detected by the sensor.

Such a detection system can also be used on various shapes and sizes of glass and plastic containers, such as bottles, cans, trays, blister packs, ampoules, and the like. In addition, this detection system can also be used to detect the position and effectiveness of the sealing substrate, labels, adhesives, and invisible security markings.
