IDM Instruments Launches New Detector
IDM Instruments exhibited their latest product, the Hot Tack Detector, at the ProPak Exhibition in Shanghai this year to test the adhesion of plastic films and plastic laminates.
The Hot Tack Detector is a successful product to help research and develop flexible films for the packaging industry. It is a must-have for all modern high-quality laboratories. Developed according to the ASTM F 1921 standard, the Hot Tack Detector is a fast and easy-to-use quality control machine that accurately and repeatedly tests.
Heat sealing adhesion is an important factor in the integrity of the soft packaging; other success factors such as packaging form, raw materials, dimensions, and desired results. The Hot Tack Detector was developed to test the ability of the product to heat-seal for a period of time while it was under pressure, when the product was still hot and not cooled to a constant temperature. The overall design is to use Hot Tack to test the material's sealing ability.
Hot tack detectors are equipped with Teflon covered knives, touch displays and printers. PLC programmable machine allows users to choose manual or automatic. Features include a soft micro-window CE operating system, a history web page to view test progress, printable hot nail diagrams, Stress V sealing process, laboratory humidity recording, room temperature auto-recording, and more.
