1 Practice of Industrial Design Packaging Design Course

1.2 Purpose

In the college's industrial design professionals training program, the packaging design course is an important professional course for industrial design students. 1.3 Content and Requirements

There are obvious results, but at the same time there are many problems in teaching, mainly in the course orientation and curriculum system, practice teaching and other aspects.

(1) Course positioning and system issues. At present, the packaging design course is a professional basic course for industrial design students. Its establishment time is relatively late. More importantly, in terms of the importance of curriculum, curriculum characteristics, and curriculum requirements, the professional basic course of this course is not oriented. Very accurate. In addition, the number of class hours arranged in the packaging design course is less, so that teaching can not be fully and effectively carried out.

It is also impossible to teach some of the latest design concepts and printing techniques to students, so theoretical teaching is often lacking in practical targeting and timeliness. The disconnect between theory and practice in teaching has led students to not be able to apply the theory of package design to specific design practices. It is impossible to truly understand the reality and specific processes of package design, and the effectiveness of teaching is greatly reduced.

2.1 Clear positioning and improvement of the system

As packaging design courses play an irreplaceable role in the packaging, publicity, and market development of industrial products, it is more appropriate to position them as specialized courses rather than professional basic courses in terms of their importance, teaching characteristics and requirements. . The course can still be arranged in the 7th semester of the undergraduate course.
