In places where the furniture is not conspicuous, such as on the back panel, use a knife to scrape off some wood chips. Wood chips do not need too much, and are not conspicuous, so it does not affect the overall aesthetics of the furniture. Place the scraped wood chips in a small test tube, then add water to the test tube. The water needs to have no height from the wood chips. Put the test tube with wood chips for two or three hours, you will find a phenomenon: the color of the wood chips in the test tube has changed from the previous light yellow to green.

The color turns green, indicating that this material is definitely rosewood. Why does rosewood turn green? Green is the color of copper oxide produced by the chemical reaction of water and rosewood.

Note: If alcohol is added to the test tube, the reaction will be faster. It takes only about half an hour and green copper oxide will appear in the test tube. If you don't have a test tube at home, you can change it to other utensils, such as wine glasses, vials, etc.
