The bottle area is the main location for Krones R&D personnel to save materials. The ordinary bottle weighs about 3.5 grams, while the new bottle weighs only 1.959 grams. The thickness of the bottle wall is reduced by 20% to 30% to only 0.1 mm. The filled bottle can withstand a maximum load of 33 kg. Compared to conventional PET bottles, this new bottle is 28% to 45% lighter. Whether in the value-creation chain, or in terms of stacking and storage, it has sufficient strength to enter the market. At present, Krones has received a new customer order, responsible for the design of a similar structure of the 0.6-liter light-ring PET bottle, and at the same time establish a full production line.
